Cover: YesDescription: The annual New Year's Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is considered to be one of the world's largest musical events of the year. This event, which opens the European music calendar, causes a huge resonance all over the world. This is no coincidence. The concert is prepared for a long time: the famous Golden Hall of the Vienna Society of Friends of Music (Musikverein), where the aristocratic audience from all over the world gathers, is decorated with fresh flowers by the best florists in Europe, the repertoire is carefully selected, in which, by tradition, works by famous Viennese composers from the Strauss family invariably sound - waltzes, mazurkas, polkas, gallops, marches. And, of course, three mandatory "bisa", one of which the audience is waiting for with special impatience, because in the performance of "Radetsky's March" by Johann Strauss the Father, not only the musicians on the stage, but also the audience themselves participate. It is a great honour to conduct the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra on this day. In 2013, this honorary duty was entrusted for the second time to one of the leading conductors of our time, Franz Welser Möst. The concert has a long history: the first performance took place on December 31 in 1939, but it received its status only in 1946. This event has always caused a huge resonance all over the world. The concert is broadcast by more than 70 TV channels and 300 radio stations from different countries. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra - one of the most famous symphony orchestras in Europe was created in 1842 by the German composer and conductor Otto Nicolai.
