1970年9月8日出生于德国迪伦（Düren）的钢琴家拉尔斯·福格特（Lars Vogt）
1990年获得英国里兹国际钢琴大赛亚军
2015年接掌英国盖茨黑德的皇家北方小交响乐团，担任音乐总监


钢琴是最具有交响性的乐器，著名钢琴家成为杰出指挥家的有巴伦勃依姆、埃绅巴赫等


受著名指挥家西蒙·拉特爵士的鼓励，拉尔斯担任乐团指挥并带领乐团进行世界巡演和唱片录制


在钢琴独奏方面，拉尔斯曾录制过一版唯美的《哥德堡变奏曲》


2017年，拉尔斯曾率团来华访问演出，曲目为贝多芬钢琴协奏曲全集，
据说他们作为小规模乐团却带来雄浑澎湃的力量感，震撼了北京和上海的观众。
